| Starting a business is difficult. Starting a business in Alaska adventure tours is even harder because our season runs only about 100 days. As we look back on our 10 years running Exposure Alaska, we have to consider ourselves fortunate to have been a part of the United States Antarctic Program for most of those 10 northern winters. In addition to having winter jobs, our time on "The Ice" has given us extraordinary opportunities to see and do things and make some great friends. We've flown on helicopters to spectacular places that few get to see, managed remote field camps in the middle of nowhere, helped launched NASA balloons into near-space and worked on building a Neutrino Telescope at the South Pole.
