| Your chance to really get away from it all in the Last Frontier | ||
Spend an entire week sea kayaking in Prince William Sound. Travel deep in the Alaska backcountry after being dropped off by airplane in the middle of nowhere. Learn to climb in high alpine. These expeditions challenge you to commit to an extended time away from any modern conveniences, often with no opportunity to "bail out" and go get a shower and a pizza. The rewards for taking up the challenge include spectacular scenery, an unforgettable experience in the wild, the opportunity to learn the hard and soft skills needed for "expedition life" and the camaraderie of spending an extended period of time in the backcountry with a small team. These are our toughest trips. Some are more physically demanding than others but, most importantly, you need to be ready to deal with living and traveling in the wilds of Alaska for an extended time. You need not be a hard-core outdoors person or an athlete and no prior experience is needed. Challenge Level: 4-5; Due to the extremely remote nature of these trips, you should be in excellent health. Read more about Challenge Levels. No experience required but you must be over 18, in good physical condition and prepared for the challenges of the Alaska backcountry.
